Hello Everybody,

This has been a very difficult year for you. You have been treated unfairly. Your pay rate has been eroded continuously with not a whimper from the people responsible.

I have pointed out to you on several occasions the fact that out of every billing dollar to the federal government 66.5 cents goes to your pay rate, 20 cents goes to overhead costs, 10 cents goes to benefit costs and 3.5 cents goes to Harrington. This means that, when the government forces our billing rates down by 30% to 40%, you are the one paying most of this reduction with a 20% to 30% cut in pay.

We have battled this all year. There were multiple emails to the Prime Minister’s Office. Following this email campaign Isabelle Copeland and I visited Liberal and NDP members in person to state our position on the unfairness of this procurement model. Paul Gillissie and I made a presentation along with CFIB to several senior Liberal Members of Parliament in the West Wing. Also, an email presentation was made to the Competition Bureau. All of this has fallen on deaf ears.

As you are very much affected by this government policy we would welcome your input and ideas. We do not want to influence your thought on any way but your involvement could be a big help.
